Overview
Netto is a personal net worth tracker developed by NorthPack Studios LLC. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is stored.
Data Collection
Netto does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with NorthPack Studios LLC or any third parties. All financial information you enter — including account names, balances, and categories — is stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, Netto uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is not accessible to NorthPack Studios LLC or anyone else. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy govern the handling of your synced data.
On-Device Security
Netto offers optional biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) to protect access to the app. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system and is never accessed or stored by Netto.
Camera Access
Netto's balance scanner uses your iPhone's camera to recognize numbers on screen (for example, a balance shown in your brokerage or banking app) so you can fill an amount field with a tap. Recognition runs entirely on-device via Apple's VisionKit. Netto never records video, never saves images, and never transmits anything from the camera. Camera access is requested only when you tap the scan button and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.
Analytics & Tracking
Netto does not include any analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not track your usage, behavior, or any other activity within the app.
In-App Purchases
Netto offers optional Pro features via in-app purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. NorthPack Studios LLC does not have access to your payment information.
Data Export
Netto lets you export your account list and value history as CSV files (free for all users) and, with Netto Pro, generate a formatted PDF report of your net worth. All files are generated locally on your device. How you store or share exported files is your responsibility.
Sample Data
When you open Netto without any accounts, you'll see a welcome screen with an opt-in "Try with sample data" link. If you tap it, Netto loads a bundled sample dataset so you can explore every feature before committing real numbers. Sample data is hardcoded in the app, lives only in memory on your device, and never syncs to iCloud. It stays loaded across the session until you exit sample mode (via the sample banner, by importing a CSV, or by relaunching). While viewing sample data, export and data-deletion are disabled; entries from the Share Extension or App Intents queue until you exit sample mode.
Home Screen Widget
Netto offers Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that show your net worth, total assets, total liabilities, account count, stale-account count, your top accounts by balance, and (Netto Pro) a 90-day trend. To make these numbers available to the widget process, Netto writes a small JSON snapshot to a shared App Group container on your device whenever you open the app, switch away from it, or return to it (and when your Pro entitlement changes). The snapshot leaves your device only if you choose to back up your device to iCloud or elsewhere.
Children's Privacy
Netto does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app and on this page. Continued use of Netto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
